Using Blogging to Manage Projects?

by Bob Turek on October 26th, 2007

This one is a “Hmmmm” at first glance but when I started thinking about it made more sense. I noticed a post that talks about using blogs to actually manage projects. When you think of all the ways to communicate project purpose, intent, status, effect on people, approaches, and ways of operating, and then combine this with the way people like to “see” what people have to “say” via blogging, you get a powerful method of communicating WITHIN an organization. Somehow blogging allows for many things to be communicated that would otherwise not be; and it provides levels of access for the PM to certain people who they might never otherwise communicate with. Who else has succeeded with this approach? I KNOW that there are a lot of caveats and dos and don’ts that can be shared.
